- How do I pair freenod to my device?
The first time you open the case, the earbuds will enter pairing mode. Simply connect through the Bluetooth menu on your device and select freenod. To manually activate pairing mode, put both earbuds back into the case and hold down the button on the case for three seconds or until the indicator light starts pulsing white.
- How do I charge?
Place the earbuds in the charging case. An orange light indicates that they are charging. The light will turn green when the earbuds are fully charged. The charging case holds an additional seven charges for your earbuds. We suggest you place your earphones inside the case when they are not in use. This will allow them to have the maximum charge each time you begin to use them. To charge your case, plug in the USB-C cable into the bottom of your case and plug the other end into a power source. An orange light indicates that they are charging. The light will turn green when the earbuds and the case are both fully charged. Note: 20 minutes of charge is equal to up to 1 hour of playtime.It takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge the earphones and the charging case at the same time.
- Why do my earbuds consume power even when they are not in use?
If your earbuds are connected to your smartphone, the freenod's battery will drain. To conserve power, always place the earphones in the charging case to shut them down completely when not in use. For a proper shutdown, ensure that there is power in the charging case.
- Is the battery fully charged when I first receive my freenod?
No, shipping regulations do not allow the battery to be fully charged. The battery will drain slowly during shipping and storage time as well. We do recommend fully charging your freenod before using.
- How many Bluetooth devices can I pair to my earbuds?
You can connect up to one bluetooth device to your earbuds at a time. To switch between devices, put both earbuds back into the case and hold down the button on the case for three seconds. Then go through the Bluetooth menu on your device and select freenod.
- What is the battery life of freenod?
At moderate volume levels, freenod delivers 3 hours of playtime. The fully charged case provides 7 extra earphone charges. Together you have the equivalent of up to 20 hours of playtime when on-the-go. In general, the battery life depends on the volume, intensity of music and Bluetooth signal. This means that the battery drains faster at higher volume when playing higher intensity music or in areas with substantial Bluetooth signal interference.
- How do I answer / reject calls using my earbuds?
When freenod paired to your device and placed in-ear, simply double-tap either left or right earbuds to answer calls. You can also triple-tap to reject calls.
- Can I use my earbuds with my device's voice assistant?
When freenod paired and placed in-ear, just triple-tap either left or right earbuds to activate your device’s native Voice Assistant.
- Can I use my freenod outdoors?
Yes, both earbuds and the charging case have special nano-coating for water resistance, rated IP54, meaning they are splash and dustproof.
- How do I improve the audio quality from a connected Bluetooth device?
Move your device closer to the earbuds, as physical objects between the earphones and the source may obstruct the signal. Bluetooth operates in the 2402 to 2480 MHz range and may be disturbed by other 2.4 GHz networks (e.g. Wi-Fi routers, wireless keyboards, etc.). If you are experiencing connection issue, try switch off or remove other Bluetooth connections in the surroundings and check if this solves the problem. Bluetooth antennas in different devices vary in quality. Try testing with another type of Bluetooth device, for example, another mobile phone.
- How do I clean / maintain my freenod?
You can wipe the earbuds and the charging case with a dry microfiber cloth. Carefully pry out any visible earwax with a toothpick or needle from the mesh filter. It is recommended that you return your earphones to their charging case when not in use. Suppose your case or earbuds are exposed to a significant amount of water or become fully submerged in water. In that case, we recommend opening the case, removing the earbuds and leaving them out to dry before using them again. Do not use alochol or other cleaning substances on the product. Do not drop, sit on, or allow the earphones to be exposed to extreme water, moisture, or temperatures. Temperature Range Operate and store this product within the temperature range of -4°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C) only. Charge the battery where the temperature is between 41°F and 104°F (5°C and 40°C) only.
- What can I do if my freenod become unresponsive or not fully working? How do I reset them?
You can restart your freenod by placing both earbuds in the charging case and close the lid for a few seconds. If restarting does not resolve the issue you are experiencing, you may need to reset your freenod. Placing both earbuds in the charging case, press and hold the button on your case for 10 seconds until the light indicator flashes white. Wait until the white light turns off, close the lid for a few seconds then re-open it. Your freenod have now been reset and must be removed from the list of paired Bluetooth devices on your mobile device before being added again.
